Uckfield Concert Brass appear on BBC Southern Counties Radio On 23rd December, members of the band became an instant Christmas Carol jukebox playing carols on request as part of BBC Southern Counties Radio's Sunday breakfast show. |

Victory at Scaba Quartet & Ensemble Contest! Uckfield marked their return to the world of contesting with wins in the 2nd & Open Quartet sections at the 2008 Scaba Quartet & Ensemble contest held at Ringmer Community College on 17th February. The band were represented by a trombone quartet made up of: Ann Zeal-Bland, Peter Cowlett, Sarah Leeves and Stephen Walkley. In addition to the 1st prizes, the bands Musical Director, Steve McIntyre, was awarded a trophy for the best musical interpretation.
